Dance Lessons

Dancers that perform musical theatre are usually referred to as “triple threats” for their ability to sing, dance, and act because the style of dance blends the performance of choreography and vocals in the form of singing and acting. Our dance and movement classes are designed to compliment other areas of performance and drama and are integral to creating stage performances and support optional musical theatre examinations.

Musical Theatre Dance Classes

Musical theatre dance classes are drama based and it requires a dancer to have an understanding of how to create various emotions through their movement, facial expressions and voice. Musical theatre dance supports the telling the of a dramatic story or concept being explained through the song. Our musical theatre dance classes are themed to directly link with our Acting / Drama and Singing / Music Theatre classes creating routines that support a musical theme.

Contemporary Dance and Movement workshops

Our Contemporary dance  and Movement workshops are avant-garde, and dancer-centric, with a focus on the choreography or a theme, idea, or concept we use them to support complex Dramatic themes. We encourage performers to make bold choices with their movement with the intention of making the viewer feel something in relation to what they are seeing.
